Grace specialises in overseas sea freight moving and we can securely and efficiently pack, ship, customs clear and deliver your personal effects to almost any destination in the world, including inland cities and towns. As an internationally-accredited removals company, we offer a fully door to door shipping service. We have the processes, training and people to ensure the success of your international move. Here’s how it works:
We conduct an obligation free in-home consultation to guide you through the international moving process and determine the most appropriate plan for you. This process usually takes between 40 minutes and one hour.
On the scheduled moving day, our moving crew arrive at your home to carefully pack your belongings into specially designed export standard moving cartons. We also disassemble, protective wrap, list and prepare your furniture items to international specifications. A detailed and descriptive customs export packing list is compiled.
Your packed belongings are loaded and secured into an appropriate shipping line container, transferred to our warehouse for weighing, security sealing and customs reporting. The container is then transported to the port and onto the vessel for sailing to your international destination.
Our international move coordinators will ensure all of your necessary shipping documentation is checked and in order to facilitate prompt customs clearance into your destination country and liaise with our international affiliate partner or Grace Australia branch to ensure the shipment is in order.
We arrange customs clearance of your shipment, collection of the container from the overseas destination port and the delivery of your belongings to your international residence, including unpacking of the cartons, re-assembling and placing all furniture items to your satisfaction and disposing of any packing debris and mess.

Full Container Load (FCL) Sea Freight
Best suited for larger shipment sizes such as full home moves, with shipping containers available in 20’, 40’ and 40’ high cube sizes. Full containers which are often also referred to as exclusive use containers, provide a range of benefits, including:
– Container loading and unloading (except to Australia) directly at the residence, given sufficient room for large vehicle parking
– Reduced costs and risks through double handling
– Faster transit as the container doesn’t need to wait for additional items to be filled
– Simplified import customs clearance processes in many countries
Our full container shipping is inclusive of all port charges and customs clearances, as well as delivery and unpacking to your new residence.
Less than Container Load (LCL) Sea Freight
Suited to smaller international sea freight shipments, this service involves packing your shipment into a large crate or liftvan, which is then sealed and secure prior to being loaded into the shipping container. Once the shipment arrives at the destination country port, it is cleared by overseas customs and the crate is delivered to your new residence for unpacking.
Consolidated or Groupage Sea Freight
Similar to LCL, groupage or consolidated shipping is suited to smaller shipments. The key difference is that the shipping container is only loaded with other Grace clients with shipments to the same destination. The transit times for this service can be considerably longer than our direct shipping options, however consolidation allows us to provide cost savings and an added layer of safety.
Grace provides regular and reliable consolidated shipping services to all Australian destinations, as well as to the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United States, Canada and all European destinations.
