Making sure we can offer you the best when you move with Grace, our new building is well protected, sustainable and endurable. Built to the higher IL3 seismic rating, your belongings will be housed in a building able to withstand a 1 in 1000-year earthquake.

A highly specialised climate control system has been designed by 22 Degrees for ultimate protection during storage, especially long-term. This will keep your items within recommended temperature and low humidity ranges.

The new building will also include a very early smoke detection system (VESDA) and a dry-pipe double knock sprinkler system, to protect your goods from fire and water. Along with our high-level security systems, your valued items will have the best care when you move and store with Grace.

4. NZGBC 4GS CERTIFIED CERTIFICATE GRACE WAREHOUSE GRACE REMOVALS GROUP LTD
Did you know Grace Removals is the oldest moving company in Australasia? Back in 1911, the Grace brothers decided to branch out from merchandise to moving. Their new removals company started with just two horse-drawn carts. Fast forward 115 years later, and Grace Removals now has over 50 branches across Australia and New Zealand. This means whether you’re moving to Australia or back to NZ, you receive a streamlined, personalised and cost-effective service with one company - Grace to Grace.
5. Colour taken from original Grace Department Store in Sydney Australia Ashton Mitchell Concept Design

Grace’s new building has been designed by award-winning Ashton Mitchell Architects. The chosen colour acknowledges the sandstone colour of the original Grace Bros building in Sydney, Australia. The woven pattern on both the facade around the office and the solar screen is inspired by the kete (basket). This connects Grace’s new building with both the local history and geography of the site, referencing the kete which were used to gather shellfish in Te Awarua-o-Porirua (Porirua Harbour).

With construction underway, we’re planning your next move to be better than ever! Talk to our Grace team about your upcoming move, and we’ll make sure you’re ready for a hassle-free move in Wellington.
