Grace Removals is excited to commemorate our 60 year membership with Fédération Internationale des Déménageurs Internationaux– International Federation of International Movers- (FIDI).
FIDI, established in 1953, is the largest independent global association of quality international removals companies. Grace joined its elite ranks in 1955, thanks to its then General Manager, Ron Reedman, an astute businessman with great vision. Reedman saw the opportunity for the international collaboration after influx of nearly 600,000 post-war migrants arriving to Australia between 1946 and 1950.
Over these 60 years Grace Removals have grown to be Australasia largest removals company spanning across 40 branches. There has been substantial industry changes including international moving procedures, bio security regulation and electronic communication; however one thing that still remains true is Grace Removals and FIDI’s commitment to best practice in international moves.
In addition to being the first non-European member to reach this milestone, Grace Removals are proud to bear the FIDI Academy Gold Award, the hallmark of training investment in staff, for the past four years.
To celebrate this monumental occasion, Grace commissioned an original Aboriginal piece, which was revealed at the FIDI Annual Conference at Cape Town, South Africa.
The artwork is from young indigenous Australian Sarrita King’s ‘Ancestors’ collection.
